FAFSA Information
Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid in order to gain access to grants, loans, scholarships and work study to help pay for postsecondary education. We will be holding workshops for your students in January to get help and are happy to schedule one on one appointments to fill out the FAFSA online as well. Every year the FAFSA opens on January 1st and though Oregon does not have a due date for submitting, we do recommend completing it as soon as possible because funds are released on a first-come first-served basis.

Three more tips for filling out the FAFSA:
- Instead of a PIN this year you are required to create an Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID in order to submit your FAFSA. If you parents have submitted a FAFSA in previous years, they can link their current PIN to a new FSA ID. We recommend getting your FSA ID a week before you complete your FAFSA in order to allow time for the ID to be activated.
- Because many students are trying to use the site on January 1 when it first becomes available the site may work slowly, have patience and be sure to have all the necessary information ready to speed the process along.
- Some schools may also have a deadline for receiving FAFSA information, so be sure to check with the requirements at your school(s) of choice!
